Telecompaper notes that US WiMAX operator Clearwire and Taiwan’s Vee Telecom Multimedia have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly provide services in Taiwan. Clearwire will take a stake of less than 10 percent in Vee. Clearwire has also signed an agreement with another Taiwanese WiMAX operator, Global Mobile, to cooperate on roaming, technology and digital content. Meanwhile, Tatung InfoComm reportedly launched the first commercial WiMAX network in the country today.
