US wholesale operator Clearwire narrowed its net loss by 39.2 percent to US$84.8 million during its third quarter. The company recorded Q3 revenue of US$332.2 million, a 134 percent year-on-year increase, as well as a record number of new wholesale subscribers, with 1.9 million additions bringing total subscribers – consisting mainly of Sprint customers – to 9.54 million. "Our record third quarter results demonstrate that our efforts to optimise performance are succeeding," said Clearwire president and CEO Erik Prusch.
