US WiMAX operator Clearwire is in talks with Taiwanese WiMAX licensee Global Mobile over a potential strategic alliance, notes TeleGeography, citing a DigiTimes report. Under the agreement Clearwire could buy an equity stake in the company, as part of Global Mobile’s plans to raise capital to finance the installation of its network infrastructure.
