Brazil World Cup host cities will get LTE first

The Brazilian government will prioritise World Cup host cities when installing LTE technology, according to The Associated Press. The government says the networks will be implemented gradually, but the 12 cities hosting World Cup matches in 2014 will be first in line to receive the next-generation technology which highly improves voice and data transmission for mobile phones. The 12 cities are Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Manaus, Belo Horizonte, Natal, Fortaleza, Curitiba, Salvador, Brasilia, Cuiaba, Recife and Porto Alegre.
