Belgium’s telecom regulator Belgian Institute for Post and Telecommunications (BIPT) has outlined its plans to sell off spectrum in the 2.6Ghz band for use with 4G services by the end of 2011, reports TeleGeography. Five organisations have registered their interest in the spectrum since June 2011 when submissions started to be taken. The BIPT will inform interested parties of the admissibility of their submissions with a view to the sale commencing on 28 November.
