AT&T’s chief executive Randall Stephenson said he expects the Apple iPhone to be an important part of its line-up for “quite some time,” according to Dow Jones Newswires. AT&T is the only US operator allowed to sell the iPhone and speculation has mounted that it will eventually lose its exclusivity agreement. In separate news, Reuters reports that Stephenson expects users of Apple’s new iPad to mostly connect to the Internet using Wi-Fi networks rather than AT&T’s mobile network.
