AT&T has announced that it will be the “exclusive US mobile broadband provider” for the ‘Sony Tablet’ S2, a dual screen, multi-functional tablet ideal for mobile communication and entertainment, that Sony plans to launch later this year. AT&T says it will offer monthly data plans for the tablet, though specific distribution and pricing will be announced at launch. Amazon announced separately that AT&T has agreed to sponsor a new version of its Kindle e-reader (‘Kindle 3G with Special Offers’), which is now available at a new price of US$139.
