Reuters reports that the Algerian government is sticking to its plan to nationalise Djezzy, the national mobile unit of Orascom Telecom. The report said that the authorities had met with representatives from Vimpelcom, which bought Wind Telecom, the parent company of Orascom – but also noted it is not clear if this deal also gave it control of Djezzy.
