France Telecom-Orange has announced plans to reorganise its executive committee in an effort to improve efficiency and enable “a greater management focus on the group’s operational and strategic challenges”.

From 1 May, Vivek Badrinath (pictured) will become deputy CEO in charge of innovation, technology and “customer experience resources”. Badrinath currently heads up the Orange Business Services & Enterprise business and brings cloud computing experience.

Thierry Bonhomme will become senior executive VP in charge of Orange Business Services and Béatrice Mandine will take charge of communication and brand. There will also be new appointments to head up internal communications and corporate social responsibility.

Jean-Philippe Vanot, Jean-Paul Cottet and Xavier Couture will leave the executive committee, which will be composed of 11 executive directors in addition to the chairman and CEO.

New internal operating procedures have been put in place to improve the efficiency of innovation within the organisation. All departments working on innovation, customer experience and information systems will be brought under a single management structure.

The company is currently working on delivering its Conquests 2015 strategic plan which aims to use network and service innovation and customer experience to drive “differentiation and value creation”.
