LIVE FROM WEDO WORLDWIDE USER GROUP 2015: Enterprise business assurance (EBA) tools can be used to enable businesses to embrace disruption and drive new innovation, Sergio Silvestre, VP and CMO at WeDo Technologies, said.

“Typically large corporations tend to innovate in small steps, and they are really good at sustaining innovation. But then we see new entrants looking typically at the lower end of the market, which focus on bringing disruptive innovation to the market, and obviously then in that type of situation they do well. The challenge is how we, as large corporations, learn how to do this,” he said.

“We want disruption because we know that from disruption and from disruptive innovation we can get growth into our businesses. But then we all, in large corporations, feel fear about the loss of control that we are going to get out of it. That’s very common, it’s very clear,” Silvestre continued.

“We feel that EBA can help us bridge this gap, and face this challenge. We need to finally let business operations really become as innovative as they want, and at the same time, give the shareholders and stakeholders the confidence that we can track the business in real-time,” he added.

WeDo unveiled its RAID Telecom software solution at Mobile World Congress 2015 in March, as an upgrade to its previous revenue assurance and fraud management product.

“What we want to do is prepare for disruption, guide the company through disruption, and monitor the business impact of everything that is happening in real-time. This was not possible until a couple of years ago: the technology wasn’t there. Now we have the technology, we have the knowledge,” Silvestre said.
