ZTE is reported to have added a new phablet to its Nubia-branded device line for the Chinese market.

According to GizChina, Nubia X6 is a high-end device with a 6.44-inch (HD) screen, 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, and LTE support. It also includes dual-SIM capabilities, and a 13 megapixel main camera.

A device with 64GB of storage costs CNY3,499 ($564), while a 32GB unit is CNY2,999.

ZTE describes Nubia as its “boutique smartphone brand”, and has previously offered several devices in this series.

At the launch of its Nubia Z5S and Z5S Mini last year, it said its 2.5 million pre-orders “surpassed a previous record set by Xiaomi” – the fast growing Chinese rival that is known for high demand at device launch.
