Samsung announced over the weekend that sales of its flagship Galaxy S III smartphone have surpassed 30 million global sales since launching five months ago. Its predecessor, the Galaxy S II, sold just 10 million over a similar selling period (150 days), the South Korean vendor said.

“Meeting this sales milestone in five months sets another record for Samsung,” said Samsung’s JK Shin. “The Galaxy S III continues to be a runaway favorite with customers around the world.”
