Chinese device maker OPPO unveiled its N1 phablet, which it described as “the first smartphone from [its] new N-Lens flagship series”.

The headline feature is a rotating camera located on the top, which swivels through 206 degrees and will securely lock at any angle. The 13-megapixel camera also has a dual-mode LED flash, offering a normal flash for backward facing shots or a softer, diffused light for forward facing.

The Android-powered device also provides users with a number of platform choices. It ships with Color, “a unique Android operating system with over 400 unique features and improvements over stock Android.”

But international versions will ship with the option to flash CyanogenMod directly from stock recovery, and a limited OPPO N1 will also become the first hardware product in the world to ship with CyanogenMod preinstalled.

The 3G device is powered by a 1.7GHz quadcore Qualcomm chip, and has a 5.9-inch screen. 16GB and 32GB versions will be available, with launch set for early December.
