Nubia unveiled its latest smartphone, Z11 Max, which targets media-heavy users.

The device has a 6.0-inch screen, “to meet user demands for multimedia, as users increasingly switch to video content”. With thin bezels, it has an 83.27 per cent screen-to-body ratio, “ideal for watching entertainment”.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octacore processor, with 4GB of RAM and 65GB of onboard storage (it also has a microSD expansion slot).

The ZTE sub-brand said it has also “upgraded its battery-enhancing technology to NeoPower 2.0, a concept which focuses on fully optimising the components of the device for a longer battery life”. With a 4000mAh battery and fast charging technology, it also says it has “tinkered with internal components to prolong battery life”.

“We wanted to produce a smartphone that lets users enjoy these things without needing to constantly recharge it,” said Ni Fei, SVP of Nubia Technology, and co-founder of the Nubia brand.

The user interface has also been upgraded, to provide improved multitasking, including a split-screen function.

Also onboard is a 16P main camera with “six precision optical lenses and a hybrid sapphire glass lens”. It has high-speed autofocus, which uses only 12 per cent of the power of most smartphones using traditional autofocus technology.

Nubia Z11 Max will be available in China from 16 June.
