Nokia is set to unveil at least six new devices at its Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi in October, with at least two new models in the Lumia smartphone range, according to The Verge.

Sources familiar with Nokia’s product roadmap said the event, which starts on 22 October, will also host the launch of a number of accessories, one of which is “pretty special”.

The company is expected to launch its 6-inch Lumia 1520, following earlier reports that it had postponed the planned ‘phablet’. The largest Lumia currently available is the Lumia 625 which has a 4.7-inch screen.

With the sources saying a “large range” of form factors and devices will be unveiled, the long-rumoured Lumia 2520 Windows RT tablet is also a possibility.

A Windows-based tablet has been anticipated ever since Nokia announced its plan to transfer its smartphone portfolio from Symbian to Windows Phone at the beginning of 2011.

The devices due to be announced are also likely to include a number of devices in the Asha feature phone range, aimed at emerging markets.
