Motorola expands 5G range, updates G line

Lenovo-owned Motorola bolstered its Motorola One line with the launch of a cheaper 5G option and refreshed its mid-tier range with revamped Moto G Play, Power and Stylus handsets.

The Motorola One 5G Ace (pictured) includes a 6.7-inch HD+ display; Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G processor; 5000mAh battery offering more than two days of use; 2MP macro, 8MP ultra-wide and 48MP main lenses; 16MP front camera; and 128GB of storage.

It is due on sale in the US from 14 January for $399.99, cheaper than the original Motorola One 5G, which debuted in September 2020 priced $549.99. Availability in Canada will follow in “the coming months”, the company said.

Updates
Though they retain the same names, the 2021 Moto G Power and Moto G Stylus feature updates specifications.

The Power features a 6.6-inch display; Snapdragon 662 processor; 5000mAh battery; 48MP main, and 2MP marco and depth lenses; and either 32GB or 64GB of storage.

Moto G Stylus comes with a larger 6.8-inch display; Snapdragon 678 processor; 4000mAh battery; 48MP main, 2MP macro and 8MP ultra-wide lenses; and 128GB of storage.

The Moto G Play is an update of Moto G7 Play from 2019. It features a 6.5-inch display; Snapdragon 460 processor; 13MP main and 2MP depth lenses; 5000mAh battery; and 32GB of storage.

They are due to go on sale in the US from 14 January, with availability in Canada to follow. Moto G Stylus will cost $299.99; G Power $199.99 (32GB) and $249.99 (64GB); and G Play $169.99.
