Engadget reports that Chinese vendor Meizu has launched a smartphone with 128GB storage option, branding this a “world first”.

According to the report, Meizu MX3 is currently only available in TD-SCDMA/GSM guise for China Mobile, priced at around CNY3,999 ($657). However, it was also suggested that a WCDMA version is in the works, supporting 3G networks internationally.

Other features of the device include a 5.1-inch 1800×1080 pixel display and a Samsung Exynos 5 octacore processor, similar to that used in the South Korean vendor’s Galaxy S4. It also has an 8 megapixel Sony camera.
