Consumer electronics giant LG has, in usual fashion, teased out details of new products set to be unveiled at CES in Las Vegas next month.

The South Korean vendor promises “to shake up the home entertainment and appliance market” with the launch of its premium LG Signature lineup. Sales will commence in the US, with additional key target markets in North America, Europe and Asia “soon thereafter.”

The Signature line will initially consist of a television, refrigerator, washing machine and air purifier, with more products to be added as the brand expands.

It is expected that the products will include ‘smart’ connectivity.

Meanwhile PC World reports that the company will introduce a new version of its webOS smart TV software. WebOS 3.0 comes with two new features: Magic Zoom allows viewers to magnify objects and letters “without any degradation in picture quality.” Magic Mobile Connection lets users link a phone to their TV so they can access mobile apps through the TV.

PC World adds that LG said it will also introduce an upgraded version of its wireless remote control, dubbed the Magic Remote. The new one has additional buttons to make it easier to control set-top boxes.

The Mobile World Live team will be in Vegas, providing extensive news and video coverage. Check out our dedicated event page here.
