LG said its Stylus 2 Plus smartphone began its global rollout with a launch this week in Taiwan, before making its way to Asia, South America, Europe and North America.

The design, the company said, “remains consistent with the original LG Stylus 2”, but now the new device “features significantly better performance than its original performance”. Providing this is a 1.4GHz octacore processor, a sharper 5.7-inch full HD IPS display, and higher-resolution 16MP rear camera.

Other improvements include more RAM and “the choice of colours” – it is now available in “titan, gold and brown”.

There will be several variations, for example with 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of onboard storage. The main camera will be 13MP in some versions, with either 5MP or 8MP front-facing unit.
