LG Electronics unveiled a new smartphone line, K Series, which it said features “the advanced camera technology and UX features of LG’s premium models”.

The devices are also said to be “the first to offer LG’s glossy pebble design language, a contemporary, stylish look with a curved, modern finish aimed at a younger audience”. This is accompanied by a “2.5D Arc Glass” screen and button-free sides – LG’s signature rear-mounted navigation key is present.

Two smartphones in the line were unveiled at CES2016 last week – K10 and K7. Both feature a workmanlike feature set (several variants are anticipated), and use the older Android 5.1 platform.

“Our 2016 K Series is the latest example of LG applying its best mobile technology and premium design philosophy across numerous smartphone categories. Customers equate the LG name with great smartphone imaging technology and we are committed to delivering on that flattering expectation,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics’ mobile unit.
