LG Electronics announced the expansion of its tablet device portfolio, adding new screen sizes to support users with different requirements with regard to portability and display.

“Unlike smartphones, tablets are not one size fits all. So we designed the G Pad series for a diverse target audience, some who prioritise portability while others want the best multimedia experience possible,” said Jong-seok Park, head of LG’s Mobile Communications unit.

The new devices are G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1, with the numbers obviously denoting screen size. The company’s previous device, G Pad 8.3, continues to be in the line.

The tablets support features such as LG’s QPair 2.0, which enables users to connect with Android-powered smartphones via Bluetooth to receive notifications of calls and messages, and the Knock Code tap-to-unlock app.
