Lenovo unveiled its latest high-end smartphone, Vibe Z2 Pro, which will see it joining the small but growing ranks of vendors offering a device with a 2K (2,560×1,440 pixels) screen.

The most high-profile device with a ‘quad-HD’ screen to date is LG’s G3, but Samsung is also expected to release a smartphone with this feature in the near future.

Lenovo’s new phablet has a 6-inch screen, with the company claiming it has an “ultra-narrow frame for compact design”. It is 7.7mm deep.

The Android 4.4 device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, and has a 16MP camera. It will be available in titanium, gold and black.

According to GSMArena, it includes dual-SIM support and has 32GB of memory, with no expansion slot.
