Device maker Bullitt Group is working with imaging player Kodak to offer “a range of Android-powered mobile devices offering best-in-class image management software and features along with great design and UI”.

The first product will be unveiled at CES2015 next month, and the companies are promising “further product announcements across the second half of 2015 including a 4G handset, a tablet and a connected camera”.

In a statement Bullitt Group said that Kodak-branded products will target “consumers who want a high-end experience but aren’t always as comfortable using increasingly complicated mobile devices as they would like to be”.

The products will feature “bespoke image capture, management and sharing features to offer a rich user experience,” and remote management software to enable help and support to be provided by friends and family.

Kodak has been through tough times in recent years, stemming from the shift from traditional photography to digital imaging. In 2012 it sold a number of its patents to technology companies including key mobile players.

It has also licensed its brand to a number of partners, in areas such as camera accessories.

Bullitt Group’s website said the company works with brands such as CAT, Ted Baker and JCB.
