Apple’s iPhone 6 was the top selling smartphone in Taiwan for the fourth consecutive month in January, accounting for more than half of total sales by value.

Almost 800,000 smartphones were sold in Taiwan in January, a 1 per cent increase from the previous month, the China Post reported.

Apple, with almost a 25 per cent market share by volume, had four of the top-10 bestselling smartphones in January, including the top three: the iPhone 6 Plus (64GB), iPhone 6 (64GB) and iPhone 6 (16GB).

Taiwan’s HTC had an 18.1 per cent market share, Samsung was third with a 13.3 percent share, ASUS was fourth with a 12.6 per cent share and Sony Mobile was fifth with an 8.4 per cent share.

By sales value, Apple led with a 53.4 per cent share, followed by Samsung with a 12.7 per cent share, HTC 11.7 per cent, Sony Mobile 7.6 per cent and ASUS 5.9 per cent.
