HTC unveiled Desire 600 dual-SIM, the Taiwanese manufacturer’s first mid-range handset that offers the “Sense 5” experience – HTC BlinkFeed and HTC BoomSound – which is also available on the flagship HTC One smartphone.

HTC BlinkFeed is a customisable homescreen which aggregates social streams and news. It draws on local and global content from more than 1,400 media sources, says HTC.

The dual front-facing speakers of the Desire 600 dual-SIM, with in-built amplifiers, comprise HTC BoomSound.

Based on Android Jelly Bean, the new device further boasts a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and has a 4.5-inch screen.

The dual-SIM allows users to have two accounts on one device, which can be active simultaneously.

HTC says the new Desire 600 will be available with mobile operators and major retailers in “a number of markets” from early June 2013.
