Doro announced its first 4G device, which also sees the introduction of a new user interface offering a “logical step-by-step journey to delivering every task”.

Doro Liberto 825 uses verbs to present actions, rather than application icons: for example ‘call’, ‘view’ or ‘send’, then prompting ‘who’ or ‘what’. This “turns the status quo on its head and brings something completely new to the world of mobile design”, Chris Millington, MD of Doro UK and Ireland, said.

It will be available from Doro Direct, the company’s online store, later this month, priced from £250 SIM-free.

Last week Doro announced additional UK distribution deals for its Liberto 820 Mini smartphone, which was unveiled earlier this year. It added John Lewis, Argos and Vodafone UK to the list, alongside previous partner Tesco.
