Apple announced availability of TD-LTE-enabled iPad Air and iPad Mini devices in China, in line with the wider availability of 4G services in the country.

The products also support the TD-SCDMA 3G technology used by China Mobile. Apple has recently become closer to the world’s biggest operator, inking a deal for the iPhone late last year – following earlier availability through China Unicom and China Telecom.

The 16GB iPad Air with TD-LTE support costs CNY4,488 ($723). The iPad Mini with TD-LTE costs CNY3,788. Versions with 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of storage are also available.
