Acer debuts first phablet

Acer announced its first phablet device, called Liquid S1, which is set to ship in Europe in the third quarter.

The device as a 5.7-inch HD (720p) screen, is powered by a 1.5GHz quadcore MediaTek processor, and runs Android 4.2. It will also be available with dual-SIM support.

Launching initially in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, UK and Germany, this will be followed by Spain and Italy, with a “starting price” of €349.
