Caremerge raises $2.1M

15 JUL 2013

US firm Caremerge, which has developed a service that enables data about elderly residents of care homes to be shared with health providers and families, has raised new funds to fuel its expansion.

The $2.1 million in funding comes from two sources: a Polish investor called Grazyna Kulczyk, who led the round, as well as an unnamed Swiss backer.

Information about the care home residents is shared through a common portal, which is accessible on PCs, smartphones and tablets.

The firm will use the funds to expand its business further outside its Illinois base into other parts of the US.
