Cloud client technology company Wyse Technology has introduced a range of technologies to improve the way users manage content and apps held in the cloud, using their mobile devices.

The new products expand on the existing Wyse PocketCloud products, which allow users to create personal clouds containing apps and files that can be accessed from Android and iOS devices.

The portfolio includes PocketCloud Remote Desktop and PocketCloud Explore, which allow users to search for and access content that may be stored on their PC from their phone. They can then locate the document, edit it and then post it in their PocketCloud web storage account.

An upgraded version of the PocketCloud Web app service has also been launched, adding new features to the cloud-based content and apps hub. Improvements include allowing users to decide whether to store content on their devices or on the public cloud, boosting security.

Wyse has announced that it has partnered with Japanese operator Softbank to bring remote desktop access and multi-device content management to mobile subscribers using the PocketCloud products.
