WildTangent unveils partner programme

02 AUG 2013

Mobile and social games company WildTangent announced a programme intended to help independent developers distribute their titles.

The company said that its new publishing division “works with every major platform provider to get games published in different app stores”. Titles will also be made available through the WildTangent mobile games service.

The company is not the only one to see the benefit of working with smaller partners to bring new titles to market. This week, social networking giant Facebook announced a similar effort, while others opening their doors to partners include Angry Birds maker Rovio, Kabam, Glu Mobile and Dragonplay.

Matt Shea, EVP of product development for the company, said: “WildTangent has the right technology and resources to support the smaller game developers that are focused solely on content creation.”

WildTangent said its BrandBoost advertising platform can be used by developers to monetise apps, and it also has technology to help with customer acquisition and retention.
