Ad network Vserv.mobi announced a partnership to “power app monetisation” for Vodafone India, for products made available via the operator’s VStore.

Vserv said that its AppWrapper technology will enable a combination of both paid and free models in parallel, which “eliminates the dilemma of choosing only one model and maximises app monetisation with minimum effort”.

Payment models supported include “Try & Buy, Pay per Play, and Subscriptions”. It said that these are enabled in one-click, without the need for additional coding.

Jonathon Bill, SVP of business development and innovation for Vodafone India, said: “We believe that this will reinvigorate the mobile internet ecosystem by allowing developers to accelerate their monetisation efforts and trigger innovation.”

According to the Mumbai-based start-up, AppWrapper powers monetisation for more than 10,000 apps, from developers including Glu Mobile, Digital Chocolate, Indiagames, Nazara and Jump Games, “among others globally.”
