Canadian operator Telus partnered with Apperian to launch a mobile app management service, “designed to help Canadian enterprises protect and manage their corporate mobile apps and data when employees use their own wireless devices at work”.

The company said that the service “makes it incredibly easy for businesses to roll out employee mobile apps and data on users’ own devices”, without the need for “intrusive or cumbersome” technology on the device.

Telus said that the service will enable Canadian businesses to manage all aspects of deploying apps in one secure location. IT managers can rollout an enterprise app store with full mobile application management features, which enables employees to find apps in a catalogue that looks similar to standard app stores.
