Lustancia announced the release of TapNav, which it said offers “the world’s first vision based Augmented Reality GPS Navigation,” using an iPhone’s digital camera to detect lanes at 29 frames per second. It said that its mSonar development studio “plans to continuously update TapNav with a vision of becoming a full-package driving assistant application to help people get to their destinations safer and faster.” TapNav is available for iOS from the Apple App Store in the US, Germany, France, and Spain.
