Tapjoy is set to partner with SK Planet, the platform arm of South Korea’s SK Telecom, to establish a “strategic alliance that will bring both companies further success in a rapidly growing advertising market”.

The deal will see Tapjoy expanding its global footprint through SK Planet’s T Store, an app store with more than 15 million subscribers and 300,000 content products. The pair will also undertake joint marketing efforts as part of their app development programmes.

Tapjoy said the deal will also enable South Korean developers to reach a broader user base overseas, through its international presence. It said the Tapjoy platform will “serve as an effective marketing tool and a major stepping stone for developers interested in building app awareness and additional revenue streams”.

“Select” T Store apps will also be given marketing funds via Tapjoy’s platform, “to increase their chances of global success and increased revenue performance”.
