Speaking during the company’s Q2 2013 results, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz said its mobile payments app has more than 10 million active users. And the coffee chain is now handling close to four million transactions per week generated by the app.

Starbucks has been reporting fast growing numbers for the take-up of its app for some time. During the company’s first-quarter results back in January, Schultz said over seven million customers use the company’s apps, which translated into 2.1 million transactions each week.

During the second quarter, the company ran a promotion for its My Starbucks Rewards card which saw one million new members sign up in two weeks by offering a $5 credit. While the offer was going on, Starbucks saw 500,000 mobile app downloads.
