App search company Quixey announced plans to open an office in Tel Aviv, Israel, describing the country as “home to some of the most dedicated, hard-working engineers in the world”.

The move comes as the company aims to “recruit aggressively and continue to provide the most intuitive app search and discovery solutions worldwide”, following a recent $50 million funding round.

The intention of the Israel office is to house a team of “key engineering talent that will work in constant coordination with Quixey’s core team in Mountain View, California”. By the end of 2014, the office will grow to “15-20 employees”.

Quixey recently announced its first consumer-facing product, Quixey on Android.
