Mobile app monetisation company PlayHaven has introduced push notifications, providing developers with an additional way to boost in-game engagement.

PlayHaven said the notifications for iOS and Android platforms provide a flexible and affordable way to capture the attention of players and improve engagement, loyalty and revenue as a result.

The notifications can direct players to in-game locations that trigger rewards or virtual good promotions, deliver messages to certain customer segments, and scale to fit individual campaigns.

PlayHaven Push Notifications will be free during the beta programme but will be charged following commercial availability. Developers signed up for the beta programme include Glu Mobile, Turbo Chilli and Game Circus.

The service is part of PlayHaven’s range of tools for developers to create targeted marketing campaigns which can be controlled from a single web dashboard.

“With the addition of push notifications, PlayHaven is now the first end-to-end solution on the market that gives developers the power to acquire, engage and monetise players whether they are in or out of the game,” said PlayHaven CEO Andy Yang.
