Mobile app monetisation company PlayHaven reported a 400 per cent year-on-year growth in the user base of its mobile games ad network.

The company added 109 million new users in the first quarter of 2013 alone, at a rate of 14 new users per second.

It now tracks 523 million unique users and 121 million monthly active users, who generate 10 billion events tracked each month, a 1,100 per cent year-on-year increase.

PlayHaven says it offers mobile game developers a high-quality CPI-based ad network and marketing platform to launch targeted campaigns “to more intelligently engage, retain and monetise their users”.

The company made its tools available to developers for free in March after securing $8 million in funding in November last year to help accelerate growth.

Companies such as Cartoon Network, Digital Chocolate, Glu Mobile, Namco Bandai, Nickelodeon and Sega use PlayHaven’s tools to boost the value of mobile games during their lifetime.
