Emerging markets games company Nazara Technologies announced an “exclusive business alliance” which will see it distributing titles from EA to “over 770 million mobile phone consumers across Africa”.

The deal covers 49 countries including Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania and Ghana, and will see games made available for Java and Android device users via Nazara’s N Play gaming platform.

According to EA, its partner has “already successfully driven EA content to consumers across the Middle East and India”.

Nitish Mittersain, Nazara’s Group CEO, said: “We are delighted to extend the reach of our relationship with EA to cover the emerging gaming market in the African continent.”
