Cross platform tools company Marmalade said that the first games for the Windows Phone 8 platform created using its SDK have launched.

The company said that building on its recently announced support for the Microsoft platform, both games were ported and deployed by their publishers and are now available for download from the Windows Phone Store.

The titles are 6th Planet (pictured) from Belgian developer Monkube, and Propel Man, from US/India company Spiel.

Sven Van de Perre, managing and creative director of Monkube, said: “All of our work developing 6th Planet for Windows Phone 8 was done in a matter of days and we are very happy with the way our game looks running on these devices.”

Mohit Sureka, founder and CEO of Spiel Studios, said: “Windows Phone 8 platform will become a natural progression for all developers in the coming times who would like to see their games reach a wide and global audience.”
