South Korean developer KTH said that its Pudding series of photo apps have been downloaded more than 30 million times. There have been 14 million downloads of Pudding Camera, along with 13.5 million of Pudding Face Match and 2.5 million of Pudding.to.

With its user base concentrated in Asia, the company believes it will become a significant competitor to Instagram in the region. English, Japanese and Chinese versions of the Pudding apps have also been launched.

KTH plans to upgrade its photo editing app Pudding Camera with real-time filters and support for mobile images later this year. The Pudding.to photo sharing app outpaced growth of Instagram in its early days, exceeding 1 million downloads in its first week of availability.

Pudding Face Match matches photos of friends with celebrities they resemble, and is said to be “especially popular in Asian countries, such as China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, since its Chinese version was introduced in March of this year.
