Mobile game discovery company Hooked Media  launched a free Android app that recommends Android games to users from more than 250,000 titles on Android Marketplace.

The Hooked app allows users to discover games based on their preferences and previous game ratings rather than just relying on the Android game charts. The software uses a proprietary algorithm that takes into account the gaming preferences, game play statistics and social mapping to recommend games. The more games a user ranks, the more customised their recommendations become.

“The Hooked app is an easy-to-use resource that will help gamers find the ‘hidden gems’ in the Android Marketplace and deliver compelling content that until now was not receiving the attention it may have deserved,” said Prita Uppal, Hooked Media Group CEO .
