Google has launched a collection of classes to help developers improve the Android apps they build. The beta version of Android Training offers classes on best practice for designing effective navigation, managing audio playback and optimising battery life. The lessons outline steps to solve particular problems or implement features and include snippets of sample code that can be integrated into apps.

Android Developer Relations tech lead Reto Meier wrote on the Android Developer’s blog that more classes will be added over the next few months with over-arching courses in the pipeline as well as sample apps to help developers further.

“Helping developers build great apps is what the Android Developer Relations team is all about, so we’re excited to see how you use these classes to make your apps even better”, Meier said, adding that developers should let the developer team know what other classes would be useful.
