Good Technology ramps up app data security; adds partners to ecosystem

17 JUL 2012

Enterprise mobility company Good Technology has bolstered the data protection technology on its Good Dynamics application management platform and added eight new partner apps to its ecosystem.

Good Dynamics AppKinetics helps protect enterprise data when stored or used on iOS or Android mobile devices, and also when transmitted between such terminals.

The technology uses a “containerisation” security model which allow apps made by Good, ISV partners or internal enterprise app developers to securely exchange information. It also allows users to create multi-app workflows without compromising security or employee privacy.

The company said the technology creates an ecosystem of secure and interoperable mobile apps that “drive business processes, increase employee productivity, and enhance collaboration”.

"With AppKinetics and our ecosystem of Good Dynamics partner apps, IT leaders can meet their productivity and information security objectives by securing and deploying what matters most:  high-value business apps and data," said senior VP of corporate strategy for Good Technology, John Herrema.

The third-party app being added to the ecosystem are business intelligence from Roambi, collaboration (Box, NetDocuments), document editing (iAnnotate PDF), mobile application development (Verivo), SharePoint and file access (Copiun TrustedShare, GroupLogic mobilEcho) and social collaboration (NewsGator Social Sites 2010).
