App marketing company Fiksu updated its iOS SDK to add support for “the new marketing attribution standard for the iOS6 platform”, called Advertising Identifier. This is intended to replace the Unique Device Identifier (UDID) for ad tracking purposes, after this was axed due to privacy concerns. It said that developers can use the kit to run the new Identifier in parallel to existing attribution technologies “until the industry has fully transitioned to the new identifier”.
