App analytics firm Distimo introduced a free resource for interested parties to search for and view daily download and revenue trends.

Distimo App Trends is aimed at developers, marketing professionals, journalists and financial services companies, and gives access data from the previous two weeks for any app that is ranked in an app store. Data can be searched by individual country.

Supported app stores included Apple’s App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore. The service can be accessed for free on the Distimo website.

“Our new App Trends service provides a new degree of transparency to the mobile app market that has not been easily accessible to users before, and offers true insight into an app’s uptake and success over time,” said Distimo CEO and co-founder, Vincent Hoogsteder.

The data for App Trends is pulled from Distimo’s AppIQ app metric tool, which provides daily estimated download volumes, revenue and rankings for any iOS or Android app in 40 countries.

Distimo claims that 54 per cent of apps are estimated with a margin of error less than 3 per cent and 95 per cent within 10 per cent.
