Deezer releases APIs for new music apps

04 MAY 2012

Music streaming company Deezer has unveiled its Open Deezer APIs to allow app developers to create new music streaming services. The three software development kits – for Android, iOS and web apps that use Javascript – will allow developers to access 15 million music tracks as well as metadata, user data and music streaming technology. Operators Orange, T-Mobile and Belgacom, as well as companies such as Facebook and Twitter, are already developing apps using Open Deezer, while Deezer is planning hackathons in Paris and Berlin to promote the technology.
