Crittercism boosted by $12M funding round

13 MAR 2013

App analytics firm Crittercism secured $12 million Series B funding and unveiled a tool which enables developers to monitor the performance of cloud services and network conditions as they relate to app performance.

“We’re excited to bring together some of the most talented investors and advisors in technology to support our mission of building a comprehensive mobile performance management solution,” said Crittercism co-founder and CEO Andrew Levy.

The company launched a private beta of its network performance monitoring service, which works with apps for Android, iOS, Windows Phone 8 and HTML5 apps. The additional information should boost app performance and reliability, it said.

Existing investor Google Ventures led the funding along with Shasta Ventures and Opus Capital. Google Ventures general partner Wesley Chan will join the board as part of the investment agreement.
