Telefonica’s BlueVia developer initiative has partnered with Apigee to integrate the Apigee API Console with BlueVia. The move will enable developers to “explore, learn and test the BlueVia APIs faster and more easily,” and allow them to share their findings with others. The BlueVia developer platform gives web and mobile app developers access to “some of Telefonica’s key network assets and data,” including APIs for SMS, MMS, user contextual information, advertising and location.

Using the BlueVia API Console, developers can authenticate an API “in seconds,” view the full surface area of an API, view request/response pairs in “only a few clicks,” and share what they are seeing with others, making it possible to solve problems more quickly. Jose Valles, Head of BlueVia, said: “making it easy for developers to learn and use the BlueVia APIs is a number one priority of our platform, and integrating the Apigee API Console with BlueVia makes it easier than ever for developers to start building apps and services.”

Apigee is also a partner for US operator AT&T, providing developers with access to network-based services across location, messaging, payment and speech.
